How Can You Tell A Lie When You Have Never Told The Truth?

The Everlasting Rest is a short film, from award winning Director Christopher "Kasper" Tobias. This is his first short he has directing after graduating LACC film program at the end of 2009.

For Kasper, The Everlasting Rest is a story that explores "real" human nature, specifically with marriages. TELR explores how people find themselves in a loveless marriage and how complacent they become, settling for something they never had a desire for.

The Everlasting Rest finds Jake, failing playwright, trying to confront his alleged wife's infidelity. Instead he confronts her in a play he has written, in which he is having her read with him. The play parallels Jakes idea of what may have happened with the man his wife has cheated on him with. When reality becomes blurred with the play, the married couple find themselves revealing their true feelings and ultimately facing their true intentions.
